Electrocute Your Stars

Country: USA, Language: English, 8 mins

  • Director: Marie Losier

CGiii Comment

American artist and director George Kuchar - whose head replaces the famous Metro Goldwyn Mayer lion in the opening credits - talks about his fascination for the weather, gives into a recollection of snowstorms in Oklahoma, whose food he likes a lot, before reflecting on eating as a social ritual, his reluctance to wash his bed sheets and his way of having shower. Once more the film unfolds according to free associations, and the images of Kuchar (first naked, braving the snow and the cold, then under the shower wearing a red raincoat), gives rhythm to his spontaneous and humorous speech. An imaginative exploration of the obsessions of a cult figure from New York underground scene, with whom Marie Losier became friend.
