CGiii Comment

In a little village by the Irrawaddy river, in the hearts of rural Burma, a group of people meet to organize an unusual event, banned by the military govern: a ceremony to celebrate the rite of marriage between two young gay boys. Soe ko is a street vendor, Saing Ko is a mason in the big city. The young couple will be helped by an activist and shaman of the village, a teacher, and a make-up artist, with the support of the buddhist monks and the women of the village. This is the chronicle of the first gay marriage in Burma. This is a courageous decision to affirm, defying all fears, the right to love in a country where freedom is still a chimera.
