CGiii Comment

A great struggle is facing many Christian churches in the USA, highlighting deep divisions over the appointment of gay pastors and the growing acceptance of same-sex marriage. Enter a new wave of spiritual leader in mainstream Christian America. Thanks to a recent rule change, there's no longer any barrier for LGBTQ people being ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA). A growing number of openly lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender clergy are transforming one of the country's largest denominations. But first they must be hired, and attitudes are slow to change. Can these 'presbyqueerians' turn the 'frozen chosen' into a beacon of tolerance?
