Take Ballroom out of the ballroom, slap it in a studio and what do you get...zero atmosphere!
It seems to be less about the performances and more about the judges and judging...although there is no set criteria on which the judging is based. It really is as subjective as: I like it...or, I don't.
Ballroom is all about defiance...here, it becomes sycophantic gerrymandering towards those that hold the power...whether they are qualified to hold that power or not!
If there is to be a second season...let's hope the producers do not reciprocate the same mistakes that have littered season 1.
Keep Ballroom in the ballroom! It really is that simple!
