Big Johnny

Set in Victoria's western suburbs, middle-aged Aussie battler Johnny, reluctantly finds himself back at work in his brother's warehouse after a career setback. However, an unexpected encounter with the vibrant drag scene at a local bar, introduces Johnny to an exhilarating new world. Through drag and the teachings of a new friend, Johnny discovers freedom in daring to be big, bold and beautiful but is challenged by his hyper-masculine upbringing and family ties. On the night of his big debut show, Johnny leans on the support of the drag community and courageously finds the strength to express his true self to his brother and an adoring crowd.
