CGiii Comment

Muddled - that's the best word that can describe this massive disappointment.

What should have been something rather special - does not materialise.

It has all the credentials: a bastardised Welles script, great actors, a budget.

Unfortunately, in the hands of Hickenlooper, it rapidly descends into a convoluted mess.

The great Hawthorne is reduced to playing a hugely unbelievable character and Hurt is painfully dreary in his dreary role.

Scandalous waste of onscreen talent.
