Filmed over 10 days as she drove across the western US, 'Out Again With Trucker Patti' tells the story of Patti Spangler, (Patrick Gibb). In the late 1970's, after marrying his high school sweetheart, Patrick Gibb came out as gay, was discharged from the Navy and had his marriage annulled. While performing drag shows, Patrick came to the realization that he needed to take the next step.

After transitioning to female in 1982, and on the advice of doctor's, Patti dove back into the closet and lived the next 25 years as a straight woman, marrying and divorcing twice (neither husband knew the secret). After discovering Sirius OutQ on satellite radio, Trucker Patti came out again as a trans-woman. This is her story.
