CGiii Comment

Franco's Spain - not a distant memory..but, a recent fact.

This is a high-political drama - you have to be in the mood for such a film - much concentration is needed.

Iglesia actually demonstrates his unique talent - unlike in his later work.

His the condemnation for right wing politics is powerful and necessary...demonstrating that he was far more capable of producing powerful work than his portfolio shows.

Well acted and written, it is an important glimpse into a Spain that has gone - however, some strands still exist...they will only die when the last survivor of Franco's world gives up their ghost.

Powerful.
