Toni in androgynous clothes, in the gym, drops of sweat flow, hairs line up. Toni excessively stems weights and prefers to work in her parents’ nursery rather than study. Everything is better than just not thinking about or talking about an experience in the past. Toni drags a trauma, the cause of which is never shown, like a ball and chain. In the encounter with the adventurous Anna, however, Toni’s protective wall begins to crumble. While more than a friendship develops between the two, a rumor is making the rounds in the Bavarian small town: A tiger is striking freely. For Toni a silly PR gag, for Anna an adventure. Yet the more Anna Toni challenges, the more often the tiger sneaks into Toni’s dreams.

Toni (Luna Jordan) spricht nicht über ihre Vergangenheit. Sie stemmt lieber Gewichte, bis die Hände zittern. Oder lenkt sich mit der Arbeit in der Gärtnerei ihrer Eltern (Johanna Wokalek und Thomas Loibl) ab. Doch immer öfter holen ihre traumatischen Erinnerungen sie ein. Als Toni die abenteuerlustige Anna kennenlernt, entwickelt sich zwischen beiden mehr als Freundschaft. Anna bringt Leichtigkeit in Tonis Alltag. Aus Vertrautheit wird Anziehung, aus Anziehung etwas, das Toni kaum zuzulassen wagt. Während sich Toni vorsichtig auf Anna einlässt, macht in der Gegend ein Gerücht die Runde: Ein Tiger streunt frei herum - und es ist nicht klar, woher er stammt und wohin er geht. Für Toni ein alberner PR-Gag, für Anna ein Abenteuer. Doch je mehr Anna Toni herausfordert, desto häufiger schleicht sich der Tiger in Tonis Träume. Auf einer Party kippt die Balance endgültig. Toni verliert die Kontrolle über Körper und Sinne, ein Gefühl, das sie nie wieder erleben wollte. Und inmitten eines dunklen Hopfenfeldes, steht das Raubtier plötzlich vor ihr - kein Traum mehr, sondern Wirklichkeit.
