3452 A.D. The children of the wealthy are raised on Venus, in the panopticons: gender segregated luxury shopping communities. They are released at the age of 35. Catherine and Alice are girlfriends in Panopticon Giulietta. Alice loves her life of diversion and entertainment. Catherine is depressed and withdrawn, longing to be free, for her actions to have consequences. Catherine and Alice find Timon: a male from a male panopticon. He's snuck over to Giulietta to see women for himself. Now he's lost and afraid. Catherine and Alice have to decide what to do with Timon. Their decision transforms their perceptions of themselves and their lives.
