CGiii Comment

Recently resurrected for musical theatre - under the name of Betty Blue Eyes...

The film, however, is a rather flat affair.

Mowbray's direction is lifeless.

Bennett's writing has a few good one-liners but rambles...the ending is as deflating as a collapsed souffle.

The(ir) Blurb...

1947 in a small town in England. The war has been over for two years, but there's still rationing of meat.
