CGiii Comment

Three 19-year-old friends Lars, Eino and Thomas live in Tasiilaq, a small village in eastern Greenland with no great prospects for the future. Together they organize artistic activities and theatrical performances to be able to express the most intimate emotions on topics such as suicide and sexual abuse, tremendously widespread in those wastelands. A dilemma devours them: stay or go away? Leaving means abandoning family and friends to their fate. Staying means abandoning every dream of a different life. Like them, many other young people find themselves in the same situation, in the midst of a period of transition and break between tradition and the new opportunities that have become accessible thanks to the Internet. A coming of age between doubts and hopes, shot in part by the protagonists themselves with their smartphones.
