Cicci, a man in his fifties, kind in manner and soul, finds himself, following the disappearance of his ex-wife Dolores, from whom he had been separated for several years, to manage the custody of his two 17-year-old twin sons : Sara and Matteo. For over 15 years Cicci has lived with his partner Nikolas, a plumber of sound ethical and moral principles. The coexistence between the two is severely tested by the decision of the Cicci sisters, headed by Giuditta, to move to their home to "protect" their grandchildren from the risk of "immorality" risk of the couple. The love that keeps Nikolas and Cicci together, forces them to suffer the abuse by the three sisters who are motivated by anything but healthy motivations, but by the desire to fragment the balance that the couple has built in time.
