CGiii Comment

It's all about sexual desire and need...in 1928!

And - for 1928 - it's rather risque...and, totally bizarre.

Four prisoners share a cell...one kills himself (because he can't get any nookie) leaving behind the sexually-frustrated husband (whose wife is equally frustrated and goes quite mad, then bonks her boss), a creepy old man and an annoying, camp queen...in walks his replacement, a stud muffin who smells of the outside...and is unopposed to a little bum fun...with the sexually-frustrated husband...

The question is: who will Franz - the sexually-frustrated husband - go to when he's released...his wife or Alfred???

The last 15 minutes are utterly riveting.

Seriously, this is ground-breaking stuff.

A marvel for its time.

Still a marvel.
