In Russia, it's grim for LGBT people.

To provoke the dictators that are...could be construed as an act of foolish defiance. The activists will never win against such tyranny...but, films like this, tell the rest of the world what's going on. And for that...it has to be applauded.

Kissing Day is a short animated documentary film based on an interview with the famous Russian journalist and LGBTQ+ activist Elena Kostyuchenko. It tells the story of the 'Kissing Day' action organized by Elena near the State Duma of the Russian Federation in 2012 during the first hearings on the law against 'gay propaganda' among minors.
