CGiii Comment

Barney Frank...what a career.

Seriously...what happens when common sense fails...in 1989, he hired his male prostitute to be his driver!

When the dick takes over...it's time to declare: Not fit for office.

But, Barney Frank survived that little scandal...and went on to become a thorn in the side of Government...as an openly gay politician, gruff and stoic, he stood for what he believed in.

Love him or loathe him...it has been said he was partially responsible for the financial meltdown in 2008...

But...you can't deny his bravery. This man has balls...and he's not afraid to show them.

As a film, a little too long and self-congratulatory...but, you can't help marvel at those balls!

The(ir) Blurb...

An intimate portrait of recently retired Congressman Barney Frank, one of our most well-known and least understood political figures, this documentary alternates between deeply personal moments and the inner workings of our political process.

Rare archival material and interviews reveal the emotional pain and harmful effects of a closeted life, the relief of coming out and the triumph of love through the Congressman's historic same-sex marriage. Frank's journey is our country's journey, a classic American story about a dedicated public servant who never loses hope.
