Road to Love (The)

Country: France, Language: Arabic, 70 mins

Original Title

Tarik el Hob
  • Director: Rémi Lange
  • Writer: Rémi Lange; Antoine Parlebas

CGiii Comment

Apart from it being mind-numbingly boring - Islam, homosexuality and sociology (silly subject) are the ingredients of this banality.

A straight sociology student makes a film about Arabic poofs [YAWN] - and then he discovers that he's a poof - falling for one of his interviewees [YAWN].

The main problem with this is that it is just a student film - it's just not good enough to sell.

The sound is terrible as is the camera work.

Those who proclaim this to have the virtues of cinema verite are really just saying that it is cheap - and DULL.

[Yawn].
