It's post-Covid, post-aggressively gentrified east Los Angeles, 2021. Tatiana (22), a young Latinx trans femme sex worker, has had all her online ads for clients taken down by the Feds. In other words, she's been deplatformed-along with all of her sex worker friends who have either skipped town or hunkered down to wait out the pandemic and avoid incarceration.
Tatiana pawns the one thing she loves: her bejeweled skateboard. Bud follows her, hoping for a paid date. Bud manages to charm her with his fad diet obsession and gentle clumsiness.Tatiana gets into his car, in spite of her friends' warning...because how is a girl going to survive in a world that doesn't want her to exist?
