CGiii Comment

Andrew Haigh has come a long way...

Regretfully, he seems to have trundled into a blind alley and doesn't seem too concerned about getting out.

Looking was cancelled due to dwindling ratings...with critics and audiences alike declaring it to be...for want of a better word...boring.

45 Years is even more so...2 mighty names loiter and limp through a script that can only be described as...there is no better word...ludicrous.

The body of the aging husband's ex-girlfriend has been discovered, perfectly preserved after decades, in a glacier. His wife is miffed as he considers going to re-kindle his historic romance...now, that may sound baffling...wait for it...she's still in the glacier...deemed unrecoverable?!?

Stupid...bemusing...dumb. Incredulous.

Haigh's career is looking mightily precarious after this foray into the non-LGBT arena...alas, his productions do have one thing in common - glacially slow.
