CGiii Comment

Seemingly, this is one of the greatest films ever made...

The first hour is dedicated to character development and bad acting - laughably so, especially the unnecessary Madame Clouzot.

Bimba's grooming and matter-of-fact proclamation is the highlight of this overly long, wooden piece of exaggeration - it most definitely is not one of the best films ever made...thus far.

But...it does something so memorable that after the whole experience of watching it - you realise, days later, how good it actually is...now, that is impressive.
