New Twenty (The)

Country: USA, Language: English, 92 mins

  • Director: Chris Mason Johnson
  • Writer: Ishmael Chawla; Chris Mason Johnson
  • Producer: Aina Abiodun; Tim Edwards

CGiii Comment

Johnson's debut - definitely an exponent from the school let-us-rehash-it-all-over-again-without-any-humour-whatsoever-and-some-really-stinking-characters.

And that's the problem - it is hugely unoriginal.

This would be more suited to the TV soap genre - for the truly depressed, disappointed and desperate.

The cinematography is good as is some of the acting - it just doesn't go anywhere - which is not a travesty since it didn't start anywhere to begin with.
