CGiii Comment

The southern state of Morelos in times of revolution. Young Angustias, daughter of Anton Farrera (a generous bandit), suffers discrimination from her neighbors for living with Crescencia (the witch) and refusing to be a victim of harassment from men. After stabbing a charro who was trying to rape her, Angustias flees to the mountain and is enlisted in the Zapatista troops.


El sur del estado de Morelos en tiempos de la revolución. La joven Angustias, hija del generoso bandido Antón Farrera, sufre la discriminación de sus vecinos por vivir con la bruja Crescencia y por negarse a ser víctima del acoso de los hombres. Tras acuchillar a un charro que intenta violarla, Angustias huye al monte y se enrola en la tropa zapatista. Convertida en coronela, la joven sigue las enseñanzas de su padre e imparte justicia entre mujeres y campesinos.
