CGiii Comment

This is so infuriating...

A fine film...marred by some silly directorial decisions.

If ever a film needed a thorough re-write and a co-director...this it it.

Appignanesi does a decent job...in part. He has a good eye and the distinct inability to shout 'cut'.

If ever a short film screamed for 'feature' development...this it it...for it has the potential...a kernel of beauty lurks within.

The(ir) Blurb...

The 1950s. In the deep of England's woods and lakes, teenage Rufus and his best friend Flip discover feelings for which they have no name.

Tongues wag in the village, and there's a terrible price to pay.

Fifty years later, an aging Rufus reluctantly returns to the village from which he's exiled himself. Can he find a chance for redemption, or has nothing really changed?
