CGiii Comment

This should have been called...Gay-4-Pay.

Most documentaries about prostitution come over as exploitative...thankfully, this is an exception.

Rosa von Praunheim tells it how it is...it's not pleasant, especially from a political perspective.

Without border control, poor boys are spilling into Western Europe willing to sell every bit of themselves...most maintain that they are heterosexual...a crying shame for they are fooling only themselves and their deluded wives. Money makes the turning of a blind eye so much easier.

This is powerful stuff with some gritty support for this way of life...those working with these boys should be applauded...those who are ignoring the problem should be thrown out of office.

A film that highlights an increasing societal problem - we are not evolving. For some of these boys, it really is the dark ages.

The(ir) Blurb...

Berlin stories behind sex for money. Despised, stigmatised and suppressed to the fringe of society - this is the reality young, male prostitutes face in Berlin. Most of the hustlers are immigrants, a lot of them act out of necessity. Rosa von Praunheim acompanies the young adults at their work in bars, porn movie theatres and on the street. He shows their reasons, their stories and above all, their strong will to survive.
