Peter's Friends

Country: UK, Language: English, 101 mins

  • Director: Kenneth Branagh
  • Writer: Rita Rudner; Martin Bergmann
  • Producer: Martin Bergmann; Kenneth Branagh

CGiii Comment

The mystery of Branagh's directorial success is even more perplexing after seeing this...he is not the greatest actor nor is he a very good director.

This is mildly amusing fare from the fraternity of Oxford glitterati.

Considering when it was made, it tries to pack a powerful punch at the end.

The writers are at fault here - the punch turns out to be more of a condescending slap...that reeks of trite sentimentality.
