Anton, a successful Russian director in his thirties, feels empty despite his career, his relationships, and his friendships. Obsessed with finding the perfect actress for his most personal film, he flees to foreign lands, trapped in an exhausting and relentless routine. As the weeks pass, the production company makes decisions without participation. Alone and obsessed, Anton's self-destruction escalates, until an unexpected and wordless connection offers him a faint hope of salvation.
