Different Shades of Pink

Country: Australia, Language: English, 45 mins

  • Director: Pak-Kin Ho; Alexander Ku

CGiii Comment

Take a cross-cultural trip with a mixture of the best of Sydney's melting pot. 'Different Shades of Pink' looks at the lives of three Sydney gay couples. James and his partner Paul, originally from Singapore, talk about their lives together. Howard, a Chinese man from Malaysia, and his boyfriend David relive the moment they first met on Lady Jane beach; and Dan recalls memories of his greatest love, Bruce, an African-American man. Multi-cultural couples get it hard, dealing with racism, heartache and Anglo angst. Luckily, love ultimately shatters all barriers and speaks every language.
