Somewhere in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles, 13-year-old Oscar Guzman is letting his summer break slip away, slowly but surely, day by day. When he's not hiding in his room during one of his parents' screaming matches, he's hiding in his room because the world outside of his tiny apartment complex makes his stomach hurt. Speaking of his stomach, most days the only thing that gets him out of bed is a half-mile walk to the gas station down the street to secure his favorite treat, a King Size Butterfinger and an 89-cent root beer. And some days, it's Carlos. Carlos is Oscar's next door neighbor. Carlos is older. Carlos likes to wear these tiny little shorts when he goes on his daily run up and down Victory Blvd. For reasons uncertain, these shorts make Oscar feel very funny - both in his stomach and in his head. Most days, Carlos pretends he doesn't notice Oscar. And then, one day, he does.

There was a trailer...but, it has since disappeared.
