Au travers d’un entretien avec Didier Lestrade (cofondateur d’Act Up – Paris en 1989), ce documentaire nous fait revivre les moments forts de la lutte contre le SIDA grâce à des archives uniques et une bande son qui marque bien l’époque.

Aujourd’hui retiré de la vie publique, celui qui aurait inspiré le personnage de Sean dans le film de Romain Campillo «120 battements par minute » jette un regard critique, parfois incisif, sur 30 années de luttes LGBT. Avec passion il défend la cause des jeunes, des trans, et commente l’arrivée des nouvelles thérapies.
