Straight Jacket is a drama about a teenage girl's coming of age. Tomboy Angie moves to a new town. Her new high school has much less funding and academic opportunity than her previous school. The students are more concerned about survival than education. Nerdy and shy Angie struggles to adapt to her rough new environment where she encounters bullying. However, all is not so dismal as she meets a street-smart girl at school with whom there is a mutual attraction. Her journey to resolution is aided by others support and her own inner resilience.
