Three short films depicting life in women's prisons are compiled in this anthology. Iris (Rachel Ticotin) is a mother who's suddenly sentenced to prison on drug charges, forcing her to leave her young son with her sister to raise. Rhonda (Rae Dawn Chong) and Nicole (Annabella Sciorra) are recently incarcerated women coming to grips with prison. From her jail cell, Loretta (Lolita Davidovich) is unable to help her daughter, who is locked in an abusive relationship.
