  • Producer: Rene Bastian; Christian Baute

CGiii Comment

A study into absolute cruelty.

A carbon-copy of Haneke's 1997 original - there's nothing quite like copying oneself.

It moves from low-budget Austria to big-budget America - but does it work?

For Americans - yes. Because, Americans do not watch foreign language films!

Even though Haneke has said that he had always envisioned Funny Games to have been an American story - is that a suitable justification for the carbon copy?

Laughing all the way to the bank...ha ha!

The(ir) Blurb...

In this English-language remake of a deconstruction in the way violence is portrayed in the media, a family settles into its vacation home, which happens to be the next stop for a pair of young, articulate, white-gloved serial killers on an excursion through the neighborhood.
