CGiii Comment

Astounding.

This film will take you on an incredible and memorable journey...and, it will - without doubt - leave a long-lasting impression.

Holland, thankfully, uses no tricks - just a straightforward narrative that is both engaging and compelling - emotion and humour work so much better when they walk hand in hand.

The acting is exemplary, especially the young Hofschneider - a remarkable debut.

A film that lasts...will last...should last.

The(ir) Blurb...

A Jewish boy, separated from his family in the early days of WWII, poses as a German orphan and is thereafter taken into the heart of the Nazi world as a 'war hero' and eventually made a Hitler Youth. Although improbabilities and happenstance are cornerstones of the film, it is based upon a true story.
