It's all about imagery....some of it works...some most definitely does not...the mother with big black paint daubs on her face is a pathetic attempt to be arty.

The narrative is a croc of shit - based (loosely) on a Poe poem...and, played against an operatic backdrop...Jarman fans will love it, most will despise it.

An inaccessible piece of arthouse drivel - for the pseudo-intellectuals only.
