CGiii Comment

It doesn't get off to a great start...sorry, but that pregnancy bump just looked like a big blob of molded plastic.

The main problem is the story - a rather important problem...halfway through, everything changes...from a psychological 'nightmare' to a [laughable] revenge flick - with a few contrived twists and too many contorted plot-lines - it does become rather confusing.

Some of the performances are substandard or just over-the-top - particularly, the gun-toting husband and the avenging lesbian.

The direction lacks tension and cohesiveness while the cinematography is crisp and clean.

Definitely, a film of two halves...there is a little to be admired and there's too much to be - somewhat - disgruntled about.

The(ir) Blurb...

While walking home from her latest OB appointment, a very pregnant Esther Woodhouse is brutally attacked and disfigured by a hooded assailant. This horrible event seems to be a blessing in disguise when Esther finds consolation in a support group. Her life of sadness and solitude is opened up to friendship, understanding, and even acceptance. However, friendship and understanding can be very dangerous things when accepted by the wrong people.
