The(ir) Blurb...

Positions is a film project that tells one individual’s story of being a queer, Indigenous, male sex worker. Moving to Vancouver from his residential community, learning how to survive in an expensive and race unconscious city, Justin found himself in a precarious position, of learning about sex work through solicitation and opportunity. We want to make this film to share a narrative side of sex work that is rarely shown in traditional media, which normally relies on stigma and stereotypes commonly thought of about those who do the work. Stories like these, coming from people who have lived them, changes and saves lives. It’s proven knowledge that when you let someone control their own narrative, it has the power to change perspectives, amongst others and oneself.
