CGiii Comment

We Think the World of You (1960) fictionalises how Ackerley got 'Tulip' - this film is more concerned with dog pooh and getting the bitch laid.

It is beyond explanation as to why this was even made.

The book has quite rightly been forgotten because it really wasn't very good (Ackerley was a distinctly mediocre writer).

The animation is crude and unengaging - some scenes have a jaw-dropping effect - not in a good way.

It received some favourable reviews...were they watching the same film?!?

A rather redundant exercise in film-making. Still...dog-lovers may find it charming!
