Bahman Mohasses, one of the great Iranian visual artists of the 20th century, lives as a recluse in a single room in Rome, humorously riffing on his flamboyant past while lamenting his self-imposed exile from a country he once called home. Though defiantly gay himself, he takes a critical, at times contradictory, view of LGBT visibility. Filmmaker Mitra Farahani follows Mohasses as he lands a huge commission and through the final, dramatic moments of his life.
