CGiii Comment

The moustache comes and goes, changing hair colour  - how to denote the passing of time.

Obviously, a few dollars has been spent on this - the yellow Ferrari, the penthouse apartment.

But, alas, money cannot camouflage the pitiful acting and a, monumentally, diabolical script.

Like the editing, the script is erratic and fragmented - nothing is developed...the speed of each impending and unbelievable catastrophe is disorientating.

A shambles of a film with some very beautifully photographed scenes - pity about all the other vital ingredients.

With the ending, the noise of jaws dropping to the floor will be deafening. Not a complimentary noise.

The(ir) Blurb...

Openly gay banker Daniel debates whether to return to Australia or stay in Hong Kong when he meets Kafka, a straight swimming instructor. The young men fall in love, believing that their love can bridge anything, despite their difference in sexuality and Kafka's increasing drug use. Daniel does not regret his love for Kafka, who tries to love him back against his nature. But a flashback memory from Kafka's past makes it difficult for their relationship to work.
