Penda's Fen

Country: UK, Language: English, 90 mins

  • Director: Alan Clarke
  • Writer: David Rudkin
  • Producer: David Rose

CGiii Comment

Rudkin has no talent for dialogue - at all.

Clarke even stated that he was not sure what the story was about - not exactly a compliment when the director hasn't a clue.

Unfathomable, inaccessible and monotonous.

An overly verbose piece of crud which is really only a story about a thoroughly unattractive, geeky kid who fancies the milkman.

Deservedly forgotten.
