Rome, in the 70s: a world suspended between new districts still being built and tv shows still in black and white, social achievements and outdated family models.

Clara and Felice have just moved into a new apartment. Their marriage is over: they no longer love each other, but they are not able to split, the only glue to their union being their children on whom Clara projects all her needs for freedom.

Adriana, the eldest, just turned 12 and is the most attentive witness to Clara’s moods and the growing tensions between her parents. Adriana rejects her name, her identity, she wants to convince everyone that she is a boy and her stubbornness completely destroys the already fragile family balance.

While the children are waiting for a sign to guide them, no matter if it is a voice from above or a song on TV, everything around and inside them changes.
