Is he a comedian or a potential political candidate?

Slightly amusing to begin with...but, alas, he does become rather preachy - and, the irritation sets in very quickly.

Similar to his mind-numbing character in Queer as Folk - obviously, he wasn't acting - he is monumentally irritating.
