Être

[Être] was a thrift shop and underground screening space in Montreal’s Mile-End. Being inside [Être] was being hermetically sealed-off with a proliferation of objects – objects containing objects – an accumulation of things, surfaces and scents activating all the senses. Shot just before it closed its doors forever, like [Être] itself, the film celebrates the madness of objects.
