Derek Jarman Conversations

The wars in former Yugoslavia, Somalia and the Gulf, Yves Klein, Salò and Rome in 1947, blindness. Derek himself suggests the beginning of the conversation, as he reminisces about our first meeting that took place in October 1982 in London during The Final Academy. The film Love conquers All gives Jarman’s body back in fragments, after having “exploded” it in many pieces. A collection of details that are transformed into a symbiotic landscape created by the flow of his voice. Perhaps only by taking a step back are we able to reach a more intense and intimate lucidity.
