Live Ashes

A scheming Duke goes into hiding, and temporarily turns power over to a war hero- who is left to enforce an arcane law prohibiting fornication. A chaste woman pleads to him for her brother's life, and he propositions her - demanding that she love him or see her brother put to death. A commentary on the abuse of power and regulating sexuality, this highly stylized experimental take on the play uses multiple actors in each role.
