CGiii Comment

$165 million and not a cent spent on the script.

An erratic, error-laden extravaganza that defies even the thinnest tissue of credibility...

Hollywood, Hollywood, Hollywood...your blockbuster template is in need of a critical and urgent review. Your policy on sequels needs to be scrapped.

The story is no different from the orginal film...nasty aliens vs the US military might...with some sloppy soppiness, cringing comedy, pitiful patriotism and an old gay couple thrown in for no good reason whatsoever...other than to pad this howler out to 120 minutes.

The glaring mistakes will dispatch the sci-fi afficionados into a mass suicidal leap from the tallest cliff. The rest of us will accept that we have just squandered valuable time and precious money...without recompense.

It may not be the worst film ever made...but, it certainly is the worst sequel in living memory.

Hollywood, Hollywood, Hollywood...you cannot keep taking your audiences for granted.
