CGiii Comment

Talk about out of the pot and into the fire.

It's intense. It's unpleasant.

It's bloody good!

'Según Mateo' speaks about the dark side of sex and human relations. Mateo is only able to feel through pain and struggles to feel happy in an alternative relationship with his boyfriend because he is so influenced he by the rules of heteropatriarchal society. That's why he embarks on a trip that he decides to turn into a painful and weird experience. The Bible is taken as a reference, particularly the passion of Christ according to Saint Matthew. For us, the most important thing is to make the audience think. We don't make moral judgements about any subjects, and want people to reflect on the film, and come to their own conclusions.
