Tampa Bay Transgender Film Festival

Tampa Bay Transgender Film Festival

Friday, 27 March 2026 until Sunday, 29 March 2026

This festival emerged in 2020 through a partnership between the Tampa Bay International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (TIGLFF) and St. Pete Pride.

Driven by local trans+ community advocates and inspired by the Netflix documentary "Disclosure," the Tampa Bay Transgender Film Festival aims to foster positive awareness of transgender and gender non-conforming communities.

At its core, this festival centers around film to raise awareness and nurture community bonds. It acknowledges the urgent need to highlight the range of authenticity and experiences of the transgender and gender non-conforming community, recognizing the potential of media to entertain, empower, and enlighten (www.tiglff.com). Alongside our film screenings, we host local events that focus on elevating all forms of trans+ art and building positive community.

We embrace all forms of film and media that explore the themes of transgender and gender diversity. Films are meticulously chosen by a committee comprising local transgender and gender-diverse community members and showcased both in-person and online nationally throughout the weekend of Transgender Day of Visibility.
