Homotopia

Since Homotopia launched in 2004 we have supported, curated, co-produced & commissioned a wide range of local, regional, national & international based companies, artists, events and performances including Gary Clarke Company, Caz & Britney, Joseph Mercier & Paniclab, David’s Place, My Scouse Voice, April Ashley : Portrait of a lady, Fellow Travellers Group Show, Outsiders – Liverpool’s first Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, The Lavender Club, Hello Sailor: Merseyside Maritime Museum, Queer Storytelling Festival, David Hoyle, Nigel Charnock, Our Story Liverpool which was the first ever research project into the hidden history of LGBT Liverpool, House Of Suarez ‘Liverpool Is Burning’, Gerry Potter’s ‘Miracle’, Homotopia seeks work in various art-forms such as live performances from theatre-makers, musicians, dance artists, performance artists, writers, artists and comedians/cabaret/vaudeville acts.

We are committed to supporting local artists wherever we can and are endeavouring to create more platforms and opportunities for new and emerging artists and producers. The work must be full length performances or interventions of at least 1 hour duration. We will consider shorter pieces of work for cabaret and performance art and also encouraging new music and live club performance. We also seek work from visual artists for a variety of exhibitions throughout the year.
