Once a successful singer in his native Sweden, William Clauson has found a refuge in Tijuana, Mexico, where he lives in a shop full of CDs that is also a mausoleum to the past. Around this mysterious character, Mexican directors Ricardo Silva and Omar Guzm*n build a dream-like and pain-filled world, as they explore the existential questions that torment him. A multitude of characters and events, suspended between past and present, reality and fiction, appear on the screen. In an endless cycle which annuls any progress of time in favour of the eternal repetition of sameness, Clauson becomes a Charon, a guide who leads us along this initiatory path of images, looking for an answer to our desperate need to escape from oblivion and to feel loved. This hybrid documentary is a kaleidoscope of pain, with echoes of Cocteau and Fassbinder.
